Eat Cake!

Now I hope you can tell which kid I made the cakes for! It sure gets hectic making my kids their own cakes when their birthdays are just 4 days apart! Who planned that?!

The treasure hunt

I bet you guys would have come if you knew there was a treasure hunt with a treasure map...that got modified as we went with short cuts...I wonder who was leading that expedition? Any guesses. The kids were so excited to go and find what was hidden that they didn't even notice it was a couple of miles in.
Thanks June and Dad that was a lot of fun... I'll have to take a picture of the map and post that too.

Camping

The state bird of Wyoming is the mosquito...Here is what infested and welcomed us to camp.
Justin got the boys the baseball style of gum...I can't believe how much they could fit into their mouths...of course that was after the atomic fire ball contest, which Justin won...Hayden was the first to drop out and I was second...really it was disgusting, I don't know what we were thinking as kids.

We made the yummiest dinner in our dutch ovens and enjoyed the grand Tetons as a family minus Hayden who refused to get out of the car one more time!!

My hair cut...

I got my hair cut!!! So even though Justin has told me he still needs to get used to it...he still loves me.
By the way this picture was after camping for 3 das and having really gross hair.

The headset is in my ear because I was talking to Heather who inspired me to blog it...I actually had a second.

So what do you think?! Only nice coments please the others will be deleted.

Eiffel Tower at night

This was my favorite part of the trip. Ending each day here. :)

There's the boys listening to a commentary about Napoleon's Tomb. Fact: Napoleon was buried in 7 tombs. Crazy. I want 8. Jeff and I are saluting outside of the Sacre Coeur. Inside was where Napoleon's Tomb was and Des Invalides, which was a hotel built for injured soldiers back in the day. That was our military day. Josh would not leave Des Invalides. We had to pull him out - litterally. Sorry Josh. :) That same day we went to the Musee d'Orsay which houses art work of impressionists like Monet, Picasso, etc. Jeff and I paused to Waltz in the ballroom at the Musee d'Orsay. Watch out, we're the next contenders on Dancing with the Stars! Then there was Notre Dame! Inside was very dark since it was lit with candles and natural light from the stained glass windows. So my pictures don't look the best. But after viewing the inside the boys waited in a line for us to go up the tower while Vittoria and I did some shopping at nearby shops. :) A couple Red Bulls later for the boys, and we were on our way up the tower. The bells were going like crazy when we got up there - it was sweet! I'm still def!

So this is our view from the top of the Eiffel Tower. I love all the neighborhoods and how the buildings are shaped. Some of the buildings are built in a cube shape with courtyards in the center. Kinda cool! So that's a group shot of us after we hiked up the Eiffel Tower. And I emphasize hike. Oh and I wore my sandals... My luggage was still "missing". There's also a pic of a scene from a cafe. The cafes all have tables set up on the sidewalk. It was so cool to watch people walk by and interact while eating. I find that fun! And yes, that is me on a toilet. But guess where? On the top of the Eiffel Tower!! Did you know they have bathrooms up there, cause I didn't! Of course I pee'd! Jeff wanted to clog the toilet, but wasn't feeling the urge. Bummer, maybe next time hon! (oh there will be another time!!) All the stained glass windows are inside the Saint-Chappelle. It was incredible. The windows in that room wrap all the way around the room. The detail and pictures in it are so cool to see. I wondered what a lot of the images meant.

Paris!!

Finally, I'm getting these posted! So Josh is showing us his breakfast from a local Patiserrie. He thought there would have been a cake under all that frosting, but it looks like he just bought a frosting ball! Jeff is holding up the pryamid at Le Louvre. They make tourists take turns holding the pyramid up. (Pookey, that was a joke) And I LOVED the Eiffel Tower at night!! Every hour it would sparkle the lights, and it was sooo cool! So we usually ended our day here, sat in the grass and waited for the tower to sparkle! So magical!! :)
